The Franklin County Friends of the Library is a volunteer, non-profit organization, incorporated in the state of Tennessee on July 29, 2014. The purpose of the organization is to operate exclusively for charitable, educational purposes for the sole benefit of the Franklin County , Tennessee Library and programs, projects, training, meetings, activities and events sponsored by the Franklin County Tennessee Library, 105 S. Porter Street, Winchester, Franklin County, Tennessee.
The purpose of the Franklin County Friends of the Library is also to maintain an association of persons interested in books and libraries; to focus public attention on library services, facilities, and needs; to promote projects of service to the Franklin County Library; and to stimulate monetary gifts, endowments ans bequests to the library.
Friends of the Library bag $1.00
The bags are available for purchase at the library.
All proceeds benefit Franklin County Library.
Membership is open to all who have a love for libraries. Active member participation is always welcome. A participating member can volunteer as much or as little as time allows. Volunteers are always needed to sort books, write articles for publication, for computer expertise, newsletter editing, assistance during yearly book sales, library and youth events. Most membership activity is conducted immediately prior to and during the annual book sales.

Year around the Friends accept donations of hardcover and paperback books, audiobooks, CDs. and DVDs. We do not accept Reader's Digest condensed books, reference books, encyclopedias, magazines, or textbooks.
Organization funds are used to purchased furniture, office equipment and computers. Funds are also used to update computers, enhance library property, promote the library, fund youth events, and to support library staff training.
